Ed Mizzi, Retired teacher and past president of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Hamilton branch, reminds us of "Relative Size" I promised to send a list of resources that you can share with your members. So I have included links and information below. This is not a comprehensive list but is plenty to get started.

Planetarium Software.
1. Stellarium is a free application available on multiple platforms, including PC and Mac computers.

2. Skysafari is one of the best apps for phones and tablets and there is a free version. Look for it on your phone or tablet, wherever you download apps.

3. Time and Date is a great website, allowing you to check the Moon's phases, sunrise and sunset times, eclipses (lunar and solar) and much more.

4. Spaceweather is another great general purpose website. I signed up to get their announcements, a great way to keep up with current events.

5. NASA always has great and up to date information.

6. The CSA (Canadian Space Agency) will keep you abreast of our own events and accomplishments.

1. Astronomy by Night was created recently as a replacement for SkyNews

2. The RASC produces an annual Night Sky Almanac, esp. good for beginners.

3. Explore the Universe Guide-3rd Ed is also great for beginners.
