Formation
- Early in the year we became a member of Third Age Network, and this aside, we have operated for the past year with no formal structure.
- We have completed the year with a small operating surplus.
- We held 10 lectures plus our AGM during the year, from March 10th to August 11th. Average attendance has been about 80, including a significant number of “walk ins”.
- 34 members attended our 3 day field trip to Sudbury in May
- 7 members came out to look at the Guelph University Ornamental Trial Garden.
- Members have suggested extending the lecture dates and we have booked Trinity United Church Hall for these dates: March 9th and 23rd, 2017, April 6th and 20th, May 4th and 18th, June 1st 15th and 29th, July 13th and 27th, August 10th and 24th, September 7th AGM which gives us 13 lecture dates plus the AGM. The lecture program will be posted on our website in good time for the start of next year’s lecture series.
- If you are interested in helping with any of the activities of the club, would like to join our small operating committee, or if you have any ideas for lectures or a lecturer, please complete the contact form on our website.
