Save the Date for TAN’s 2019 Symposium
To be held at the University of Guelph Arboretum Centre
Friday afternoon and evening May 3rd and Saturday May 4th, 2019
TAN encourages more than one Delegate from each Third Age group to attend
Any executive or volunteer for each Third Age group is welcome
Delegates are also encouraged to bring their partners
Various social activities are planned to complement the Symposium

The theme of this Symposium is "Spreading Our Wings". Designed to answer questions about how the Third Age Learning movement can bring its stimulating lecture programs and resulting social benefits to more people in their retirement years, within existing Third Age communities and in new communities in Ontario.

- Walking tour of the Arboretum with Naturalist and Author Chris Earley (3:30 - 4:30 pm)
- Trillium Jazz Trio (6:30 - 7:00 pm)
- Keynote speaker James W. Sanders, Member of the Order of Canada, past chair, the Accessibility Standards Advisory Council of Ontario (7:00 - 8:00 pm)
- Theme: “Building a Friendly World for All Ages”
- Cheese and Wine Reception (8:00 - 9:00 pm)
Saturday May 4th (8:00 am - 3:00 pm)
- Keynote speaker and Facilitator John Lewis, Associate Professor, School of Planning, University of Waterloo. Research interests includes Age Friendly Communities
